Im taking a photography class next year as a sophomore in high school and i would like to get a camera to use that is good for a beginner but that i can also use when i become more experienced. my brother has a nikon d40 camera and he likes to do photography but i dont have a lot of money so i would like to get a camera in the 200-300 dollar range. any suggestions?

    Nikon has the Coolpix P6000. This is a good DSLR backup camera.
    Good resolution, nice optical zoom lens, lots of features, even geo-tagging built in.
    You’d need to shop around or wait until the holidays to pick it up for under $400.
